About Our Principal
Mr. Mohammed Ishtiaq
Mr. Mohammed Ishtiaq moved to Michigan from Bradford, England in 2010. Mr. Ishtiaq has over 20 years’ experience as an educator and has worked and interacted with people from many different backgrounds. He is a leader, public speaker, advisor, and mentor for the youth in the Greater Detroit area. Mr. Ishtiaq taught at the Middle School level, High School level and held a prestigious position at the University of Michigan as a Chaplain where he was also on the executive ARC board, planning events and teaching. He served as Director at Huda School in Franklin, MI. Mr. Ishtiaq was the Chaplain at the University of Michigan. Mr. Ishtiaq has served as a Principal for over 5 years. Mr. Ishtiaq received his BA in Biology and MEd in Educational Leadership from Oakland University, Michigan. Mr. Ishtiaq, known for his scholarship, humor and humbleness, and is excited to welcome students and their families to Red Oak Academy as its founding principal.
